New Amendments and Resolutions effective for 2026

On Monday, March 23, 2026, the State Central Committee voted to pass the following amendment - Amendment 26A - Non-Member Participation

Functionally, this amendment now permits some non-party members to participate as voters at convention. The elected central committee will decide who can and cannot participate prior to every voting convention.

Effectively for the 2026 State and County conventions, the following resolutions were passed:

2026-004 states that registered voters who are unaffiliated with any political party may participate in votes related to the nomination of Forward Party candidates for public office.
2026-005 states that registered voters who are unaffiliated with any political party may participate in votes related to the nomination of Forward Party candidates for public office.
2026-006 states that if a candidate receives 0 votes at convention, the result will be the same as "No Candidate at this Time"

In other words...

if you are an unaffiliated voter in Utah, you can now participate at our Conventions the same as registered party members.
